Quickie Review: An Etiquette Guide to the End Times - a Novella by Maia Sepp

Olive writes an etiquette column that the government wants to take over. In order to manipulate her into accepting they attempt such things as removing some of her chickens and threatening to reallocate her neighbor and friend Camilla. Camilla introduces her to the crew of a ship that brings supplies to the city. She asks their help to find her Grandfather. She would rather negotiate with them than with the government. The internet fails.  Food and electricity are rationed. People are raising their own food. There are eco-terrorists. Are zombies really necessary for the end times to happen?

This is a really good novella. It raises some good points in that unlike some dystopian stories, it is plausible in many aspects. It also has the saving grace of humor in many places. It’s well written. I  give it 4 stars out of 5. I recommend it for people who enjoy scifi and dystopian type stories.

Disclaimer: I received a copy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion.
